HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT OF WARTS
Warts are growths on the skin caused by a virus infection. They could occur anywhere on the skin. They are usually painless & may appear either raised form the skin or firmly attached to it. Also they could be either soft or hard & horny to touch. They are usually painless except maybe when they occur on the soles where the constant pressure due to the bodyweight might cause them to be painful. They may remain as they are for years without multiplying or increasing in size or at times multiply & increase in size gradually. Allopathic treatments consist of cauterizing them with an instrument but are usually found to reoccur. Homeopathic treatment when taken internally cures them permanently. Indiscriminate intake or application of Thuja -the most well known homeopathic medicine for warts- without consulting a homeopathic doctor is strictly unadvisable.


HOMEOPATHY FOR RINGWORM
Ringworm is nothing but infection of the skin due to a small fungus growing on the skin. It is commonly seen during summer months or during monsoons when the dampness of the skin favors the growth of this fungus. It may appear on various parts of the body in different forms.
On the scalp it appears as a bald patch usually with much itching. The common cause is either improper hygiene or infection acquired from a barber's scissors.

In men the infection is very commonly seen in the beard. It begins as a small red, raised eruption which increases in size with a lot of itching & even leads to formation of multiple small pus filled eruptions. Homeopathic medicines if taken in the initial phase of infection will prevent a cure within no time. To prevent it, care must be taken not to share razors, wash razors thoroughly before & after use with soap & water. Also never shave without using a shaving cream.
On the body it is a small patch reddish or hypo-pigmented with a pink margin & itching.
The infection of the nails could be quite painful. The nails acquire a yellowish- brown discoloration. The edges of the nails appear red, raised & swollen & are painful to touch. Here the infection occurs commonly due to constant working in water, frequent use of detergents. Occasionally pus formation also occurs leading to severe pain. The nails become thickened & brittle & start chipping off in pieces. In these cases the treatment is usually prolonged lasting from 6 months to a year.
On the genital area it occurs most commonly in the fold between the thigh & the hip or on inner aspect of the thigh & again causes severe itching. Homeopathic medicines puts a check on the growth of infection and the medicines initiates the body’s healing power to get rid of the sufferings.


HOMEOPATHY IN HERPES
Herpes zoster or herpes as it is commonly known is caused by the re-activation of the dormant chicken-pox virus acquired in childhood. Chicken pox when suppressed with strong medicines, leads to vesicles not coming out completely & the virus resides near the spinal cord in the dormant state. At some stage in life they become active again & lead to herpes zoster. It is characterized by a burning or tingling sensation or a rash along a nerve anywhere on the skin, followed by appearance of vesicular eruptions which multiply rapidly. There is severe pain along the affected nerve & characteristically they are along a single line & only on one side of the body either right or left. The disease lasts about 2 weeks but at times there could be ulceration of affected areas & in some cases the pain might persist for years after the infection has subsided (This is what is known as post-herpetic neuralgia).Herpes is dangerous if it occurs on the face for if the eye is involved, it could lead to permanent blindness.

Homeopathy prevents the spread of the disease as well as ulcerations & relieves pain.It can also be used to treat the ulcers if they have formed & also for the treatment of post-herpetic pains if they persist, as they often do, long after the disease has subsided.
